  • YOGA TEACHER & ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST

Sasha’s exuberant love for yoga shines through in every class she leads. With roots in Ashtanga Yoga and Baptiste Yoga, her classes are fiery yet grounding.  She began her yoga journey in 2004 and in 2012 became an E-RYT certified Yoga Alliance instructor. She holds a B.A. in Human Development and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, specializing in perinatal mental health and somatic mind/body therapies.  In her private practice,Sasha identifies as trauma-informed and weaves this into her teaching practice.  She has been teaching yoga and leading workshops for over 12 years.

Sasha is the founder of Omboldt Yoga Festival and co-founder of Path of the Lotus Retreats.  She believes that yoga is the glue that holds our heart, mind and community together.   Her teaching practice is a culmination of love and connection, fueling her work as a yoga teacher, a psychotherapist, a student and mother.

Her hope in life is to improve the lives of those open and willing to roll out the mat and discover the magic of the practice and what’s within them.   She believes that the body keeps the score, and that humans make sense; the container of the Practice is a safe space to heal and grow.  Yoga can be utilized as a tool to not only calm the body and mind, but also to alleviate symptoms of illness, in the physical and emotional bodies.

Expect to retreat from the outside world and deeply enter the world within.
